35th Annual Humboldt Redwoods Marathon and Half Marathon
Road Closure & Safety
No blades, skates, bikes, skateboards, strollers, baby joggers, cars or pets are allowed on the course. The use of headsets is strongly discouraged.
The Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K welcome slower participants. The Half Marathon & 5K welcome walkers in a non-competitive no awards division. The Marathon does not have a Walkers Division. Slower participants and walkers are asked to start at the back of the pack.
Road closures and controlled roads are for five hours, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
All participants whose pace is slower than 11:27 per mile
in the Marathon and 22:54 per mile in the Half Marathon should move to
the side of the road and follow normal traffic laws when the road reopens
at 2 p.m. Support services on the course such as medical and water will
be phased out by 2 p.m. We will keep services available at the finish
line on a limited basis, the finish line must be dismantled at 2 p.m.
